Spook Slowly - Scary Sounds Screwed Up & Stacked Up By Prof. Grewbeard

My last-minute contribution to the general ambience of Hallowe'en Night comes in the form of this comp I put together of spooky sound effects & music that have been slowed downed, pitched down, put in reverse, edited and/or laced with effects for a creepier vibe than usual. It's something that anybody with the most basic knowledge and equipment could've done but probably wouldn't've bothered to do, but I bothered because I've always been fascinated with what can happen when you play a recording backwards or at the "wrong" speed, and so you don't have to. As for the cover, once again I must thank Karswell for providing me with the perfect image for the project and once again he knows nothing about it yet. Scare the li'l ones good with this one. I hope everyone has a Happy Hallowe'en and maybe I'll be back one dark & stormy night. 'Til then...
That's me on the left.

Mostly Lively Horror Sounds Of The Ghostly Night Ghouls

You thought I wasn't going to make you listen to anything this year, didn't you? Hah! Don't let the cover fool you, it was designed that way to meet your parent's approval. It is actually a weird, subversive-sounding sound effects lp, masquerading as a low-budget hackjob. Beware!
There is a longer version of this sought-after cassette tape, maybe someday I'll be able to post that.

This here is some homegrown(Houston)Hallowe'en goodness that's quite rare.

Everybody Loves Cartoons And The Ravings Of A Madman

Yep, had one. It was the coolest. You haven't lived until you've let a mind-bendingly horrifying monstrosity through the portal and loose on the helpless world we all once cherished but must now watch being consumed and digested while we wait our turn to be sucked into the monster's hideous maw. The kids who got burned by this harmless toy and then ran to the authorities deserve much worse and they will suffer their unthinkable fate on the other side...until then, they live the remainder of their wretched little lives in fear & dread, alternately.

Dr. Strange '64 - "The House Of Shadows!", A Tale Of Eerie Enchantment Told In The Marvel Manner

I don't feature superheroes here often but Ditko's Dr. Strange was well, strange and this tale of eerie enchantment features a haunted house so it is of the season...

Not nearly as difficult a dilemma to deal with as Dormammu
but it was Doc's day off...

When I Was a Small Child, My Mother & I Would Sing This Song To Each Other

...and the following is just scary on so many levels. Imagine the effect on an impressionable young mind. You don't have to imagine though, you already know the effect, don't you?...

Famous Monsters Of Filmland #32 - Monster Kid Madness

What to do in October while waiting for Halloween Night- work on your costume, make monster models or even your own Monster Movie.
I can see the Metaluna Mu-tant influence in the body but not sure about the head, rather Blaisdellesque.

 I am smiling...

This guy knows what glue can do...

Look deep into the faces of those who came before you! As for you (us) old-timers, simply weep uncontrollably...
If you had been twelve in '65 and lived in Oregon, would you have looked up Miss Nicholls phone number?
 Oh, Baby Doll!...

 Check out the Barbie!
This just looks cool. A lot of excitement over a dead guy...
 Don't leave home without 'em!
I don't know if i've ever actually seen one of the Munsters masks, were they lacking in some way? They always used cast photos in the ads...
 What's with Drac's cap?
 That monster font is awesome!
Ladies & Gentlemen, Mr. Michael Gough...
