Sheldon Allman - Sing Along With Drac

Sheldon Allman sang the Mr. Ed theme song & wrote the lyrics to George of the Jungle("Watch out for that tree!"). This is a great example of 60s-style "sick" humor. I have no idea who the character in the striped shirt is supposed to be...

Tales Of Voodoo - Scales Of Death & Nightmare Merchant

Not the first Eerie Publications mag I ever saw or read but the first one I ever bought and brought home with me, it freaked me out good 'n' proper, especially these two tales of tacky terror...

That last panel will always have a special place in my bloodstream...

Howlin' Halloween - The Sounds of Spook Stuff

Again, Side One is your regular, good ol' All-American spooky-boo stuff. Side Two, however, is a different cauldron of fish. Tracks 1-3 are atmospheric soundscapes with mysterious scenarios, tracks 4 & 5 are surrealistic sound collages with a whimsical edge and defy description(the ones below don't cut it and are included for entertainment purposes only), track 6 features the return of Krishtar!(you're familiar with him by now, I hope)and the whole mess concludes with a sort-of Beatnik version of Hey Diddle Diddle. Scarstuff posted a bit cleaner version of this with a different cover but my rip doesn't skip. Get this now and then "Light the Jack'o Lantern, Pumpkinhead!", a veiled drug reference if ever I heard one...

Here's the alternate cover...

Mad Monsters #4 - Coffin Capers, Ghoul Giggles & More (TOR!!!)

Well, it seems I'm in a race to post the same Monster Music files with a new site called Goodnight Whatever You Are. It's primarily a music site and also features Heavy Rock and Metal. Rather than try and compete with a nice site run by a nice guy, if he posts something I was planning on posting before I do, I'll just send ya'll his way. He just posted the above, The Vampires Of Dartmoore, which i would describe as a German Psychedelic-Lounge-Jazz version of the Frankie Stein records, and I recommend it highly also...

Invite your friends over for a...Haunting

Number Two in my series of the Weirdest Haunted House Sound Effects Records Ever(thanx again to Scarstuff)continues with this, the Gayle House Haunting. All I can say is, if you thought the last one was questionable in content, don't play this one for the sensitive kids in your brood until you check it out first,
especially the title track...SLURP!!!

Johnson Smith Horror Record

A life-changing event for me indeed was this, one of the strangest scary sound-effects records ever made, found at the oft-aformentioned Scarstuff. Side One is pretty much your standard fare, aah, but Side Two, yesssss, Siiiiide Twooooo, MOO-HOO-HA-ha-haaaaa!...hear it to believe it! well, actually you may have heard it already in a previous post here at Magic Carpet Burn but now YOU CAN HAVE IT!!!...you deserve it!

Horror Monsters #10 - Kiddies! The HM Horror Reader

For some reason, Horror Monsters printed more fans-as-monsters pics than any other mag i've seen from this era...

Alas, there was to be no more issues of HM, New or otherwise...

I wonder if Mr. Hascall regrets not picking up these back issues, now that they command collector's prices...
