Both books come with a flexi-disc, the above features themes from Captain Ultra(again), Friendly Monster Booska, the Japanese theme for the American Tarzan TV show featuring Ron Ely and most importantly, Golden Bat! The Gamera disc features a couple of kids acting out the story from the movie w/sound effects from same. At one point I could swear I hear Gamera losing a hubcap...
Children's book?...

Did they actually make an animated series for either Captain Ultra or Booska? I only have live action eps... I'd love to see some if they did. What's the pic from with the kids and girl with the flower in her hair?
Also, do you have any episodes from Majin Bander ('69), or know where to get them? It's the one Japanese series that has eluded me forever.
it's possible they did manga versions of these shows to tie in, it was a common practice. anime, i think not. the mystery photo is from a show called Gaboteso, of which i know nothing except it looks "Tarzanesque"...
i've gotten a lot of stuff from Video Daikaiju, but i don't have a catalog handy to recall whether or not they have Majin Bander. and to bring Light Speed Esper up again, as soon as i get my vhs-to-dvd converter i can hook you up with that series...

Cool man... I'd love to see more episodes of that one. Thanks.
Only reason I asked about animated series of Captain Ultra and Booska is because they're shown on the cover with Gold Bat, which they of course did make an awesome animated series out of. I'll have to take a look at Video Daikaiju again, it's been about 10 years since I got anything from them.
Love Guiron, the guillotine monster!!!
