Freddie Gage - The Drug Epidemic (Rainbow Records)

Here's something for your Sunday morning listening after a Saturday night full of substance abuse- Freddie Gage, I'm proud to say, is a born inhabitant of Texas, a man who's been there and done that and is here to tell you not to, you dirty hippie...
(As usual, as of late, my vinyl, my cover, mold and all!)

And It Comes On A Stick!...

Since today is my birthday, I'm gonna say and do whatever silly little thing that comes to my head! First off, YUBBA WAB HOOP DIBBY!(Steve Gerber fans will know what I mean...) Next, Three Truths- 1) I hate Summer. 2) Jan & Dean are funny. 3) There is a big Back To Mono movement moving right now, so I present to you- Jan & Dean's Popsicle lp in MONO, because I just happen to have a copy on vinyl(I even took a picture of my own lp cover)and although I hate Summer I don't really have a problem with summery music. I got into The Beach Boys and Jan & Dean because of my big brother, meaning, he left his records and phonograph behind when he went off to college and Surf music was about all he had besides those Beatle guys. This vas in der 60s. Anyway, I plan to stick to posting my own vinyl and lp covers from now on- more fun that way. Speaking of Mono, I have acquired a mono copy of Dracula's Deuce which I'll be posting closer to Halloween. I will also be re-posting some stuff with my own rips and covers. OK, now picture a 94-year-old woman in a topless bathing suit. See, Jan & Dean are funny...

Speaking Of Time To Rock...The Traits - Nobody Loves The Hulk!

I've always dug the Hulk, he's basically Mr. SuperFrankenHyde, right? This is not the first time this monster has been made available on the Weird Wide Web but this is my own vinyl and it's a better-sounding version that the example I'd previously encountered. I'd love to imagine that this is the same The Traits responsible for the astounding High On A Cloud but I doubt it, we do not live in a perfect world(well, I do, but it's imaginary). Anyway, judge for yourself, there's a link for that relentless piece of teenangst here too...
If you know the chords for The Yardbird's Evil-Hearted You then you can start playing Nobody Loves The Hulk right away, too! You'll then be High On A Cloud of ROCK!...

TIME TO ROCK AGAIN TIME

Ten years ago I closed the door on ROCK, but now that it's time to ROCK again, I wanted to give you all a glimpse of a time when the Baroness and I had just come together, the last in a long line of bands of mine were sending our last, lost echoes into space and a dog named Clyde was my bestest buddy. The guitars and the girl are still here, Clyde is gone and ROCK has blown the door off the hinges and re-entered my life now that I'm 25 lbs lighter, ten years older and ready to start learning again. Why do I tremble so?...

Where's Clyde?...

Mike Love Doing The "Monster Mash"

Say what you will about Mr. Love, once upon a time he was cool/fool enough to get up on stage in front of a bunch of screaming girls and do the "Monster Mash"...
