Collegeville Is First With The Mostest!

Swear your allegiance to the Licensed Character of your choice!
Personally i'm a big Milton the Monster fan but...
...only the koolest kids choose Rat Fink.

The Weird Monster is Truly Weird.

Looks like quite a party!

What's worse than a demon and a devil combined?
Next...i'm afraid to look-

Yeah, Weird Monster pretty much takes the cigar flavored cake, but a close tie for second goes to the Visible Man and Flipper (the freak-headed dolphin, not the band.)

Milton the Monster is rad, so's Fearless Fly, too bad they didn't do s Stuffy Durma costume with those craaazy drunken bum eyes.

Man I forgot all about Spook-a-Nanny, that's kind of an obscure Walter Lance production, strange choice for a costume... though no stranger than Gone Gonk or Secret Agent Howard Cosell. (I'm guessing that was really supposed to be either Patrick McGoohan as John Drake, or Don Adams as Maxwell Smart?)

So wow, these posts are truly full of fun art and wonderful kookball memories, thanks again PGB! Hope my plug on THOIA sent some new customers your way. Keep it going...

I swear that skeleton costume is one I wore one year! The mask looks just like it.

Enjoying your new blog! There was a need in the world for it.

OMG! Flipper? Nightmare? And a Secret Agent who looks suspiciously like MR. ROGERS? It's too much!

I would totally have been The Visible Man, though. That freakin' ROCKS.

Though I do remember being confused as a kid as to why the art on the tunics, drawn to look like the body of the character whose mask you were wearing, usually had the ARMS of the character drawn on the BODY of the costume. I mean, why not make the arms THE ARMS? You end up lookin' all Hindu that way.

I am loving these posts. These costumes are so much better than these newfangled Winnie the Pooh and Elmo costumes where it looks like the character is actually eating the child's head! AAAAAAAAAAUGH!

I'm late to the party, but it looks like Flipper is just a runner up so far in everyone else's list. My heart belongs *only* to Flipper. Wow...

Great blog--definitely adding this to my must-read list!
